What We Do | Creative Recruiter

Recruitment at The People Place encompasses everything from:

  • Creative and design to digital and social, studio and production, account management and strategy, marketing and media
  • In-house teams and indie up-and-comers to full-service agencies
  • Full-time roles and freelance gigs to total career pivots

Whenever and wherever opportunities arise, your go-to recruitment agency will be right there with the right people. We take pride in the lengths we take to understand what each party needs to get the job done.

And, beyond finding someone with the right skills for the job, we believe in finding the right cultural fit for the team. We’re not just here to pat ourselves on the back for a job half-done. Our lead creative recruiter, Nic understand that the future of your business is way too important for that.

How We Work

Not only do we make sure our people are the right fit for our clients, but that we’re the right fit too. That’s why we offer two modes of working with our lead creative recruiter, Nic.

Here’s what you can expect from working with a creative recruiter on a retained basis:

Exclusivity

The client engages The People Place exclusively to fill a specific position. We work solely on the client’s search, committing time and resources to find the very best candidates for that role.

Flexible timeline

With a guarantee in place, we’re able to be more flexible with the timeline and prioritise this one placement, if need be.

Customised approach

We invest significant time into understanding the client’s needs, company culture, and the specific requirements of the position. This in-depth process results in higher-quality candidates.

Higher level of success

Working across one role in great detail allows us in-depth understanding of the client’s requirements – lowering staff churn, boosting retention, and streamlining the recruitment process through to onboarding and beyond.

Payment terms

The client pays a fee (or retainer) at the beginning of the search process. This payment acts as a guarantee that your creative recruiter will find the right candidate. We’re also open to negotiating a bespoke arrangement.

Here’s what working with a creative recruiter on a contingent basis involves:

Non-exclusivity

Multiple recruiters or recruitment agencies compete to fill the one job opening.

Payment on success

The client is charged at the end of the process, if and when one of our candidates is selected.

Rushed turnaround

Contingent jobs are often a race to fill the role and our creative recruiter will need to work fast to present options to the client. That can sometimes result in a less thorough vetting process.

Competition and business image

The speedy nature of contingent recruitment can dilute the client’s brand and create a sense of desperation.

Competitive nature

The best candidate for the job may be approached by several recruiters at the same time.

For the best outcome, we highly recommend partnering with our lead creative recruiter, Nic, on a retained basis. However, we’re always open to discussing the structure that works best for you.

Our Process

When it comes to finding good people for good places, our creative recruitment process leaves nothing to chance. We’re rigorous, curious, and committed to success – from day one and for the long run. Here’s a sneak peek at our process:

01

Initial consultation

We meet with our clients to discuss their needs, expectations, goals, and values. This ensures we find the right fit for the role and the culture.

05

Interview coordination

We understand that time is precious and hard to come by. That’s why we take care of coordinating interviews, scheduling meetings, collating feedback, and facilitating follow-ups.

02

Candidate sourcing

We source the best in the business through a wide range of channels. Of course, there are those on our books, but we also advertise and conduct executive and database searches.

06

Negotiation

We help both clients and candidates to negotiate offers, salary packages and more. Our process is fair and transparent and does away with any awkward conversations.

03

Candidate interview and screening

We get to know our candidates, as people and as professionals. It’s only once they’ve been thoroughly screened that we consider putting them forward for a role.

07

Onboarding support

We can assist with the onerous task of onboarding, and we always follow up with both clients and candidates to ensure both parties are satisfied.

04

Candidate presentation

We present clients with the most suitable candidate resumes, portfolios and interview notes. By putting in the legwork, we eliminate the guesswork.

All in all, our lead creative recruiter, Nic strives to connect high-calibre, creative people with their perfect role and build lasting relationships.
