Meet Nicholas Cox, the founder and principal of The People Place.

About Nic

Nic’s background is in TV, advertising, and film production. In 2014, he produced Tropfest’s winning film. Off the back of that success, he co-founded the award-winning creative content studio, Gen C, where he worked with clients such as Nike, Tesla, Kathmandu, Medibank, Powershop and Rebel Sport.

Nic played an integral role in Gen C’s transformation into Sunday Gravy and his role as Chief Operating Officer encompassed Recruitment, HR and People & Culture. He helped grow the business into one of Australia’s top independent creative agencies within twelve months.

In addition, Nic co-founded Cuttable, an innovative product solutions tech platform. It is currently led by some of the best tech minds in the country, and he remains on board as a silent partner.

His trajectory has provided him with first-hand experience across the gamut of creative roles; some he’s serviced himself and many he’s filled with Australia’s brightest creatives. In doing so, Nic has built a strong network of like-minded individuals, while developing a knack for understanding what makes people tick – and how and where their assets can best be utilised.

And because Nic’s passion is networking, that pool of incredible people just keeps on growing; from those who thrive in traditional roles to futurists, filmmakers, and designers. His innate ability to connect good people with good places enables him to source, secure and support a wide range of roles across an impressive scope of work and breadth of clients.

All that is to say, connection is the reason Nic gets up in the morning. And the very reason The People Place exists.
